I'm located in Oak Ridge, a small community, close to Greensboro and Winston-Salem, in northwestern Guilford County, North Carolina.

Spiritual Direction, Focusing and Reiki sessions are 60-minutes.

The exception is your first session; I like to allow between 75-90 minutes for your first appointment so we have time to get acquainted.

No, not at all. Distance is not a roadblock for hearts and souls and my clients and I have found it quite easy to create deep, heart-centered connections.

Many of my clients prefer meeting via Zoom. Sometimes, it's easier to relax and to feel safe and at ease in the comfort of your own home and for many, it's simply more convenient to meet online.

Professionally speaking, I've found working together through Zoom to be as potent and powerful as meeting in person.

Note: Plan on your first session being between 75-90 minutes as we get acquainted. I have a few beginning questions to help me gain an understanding of where you are in your spiritual journey and I want you to have plenty of time afterwards to share what's on your heart.

For many clients, meeting every two weeks is the ideal cadence; it gives them enough space for integration and keeps them moving forward at a comfortable pace with their self-inquiry.

For others, meeting once a month meets their needs well.

Both Spiritual Direction and Focusing sessions are $110 and last one hour. Reiki sessions are $75 and also last one hour.

I ask that fees be paid by the end of your session through either Venmo or PayPal.

After you schedule your appointment through my online calendar, you'll receive a confirmation email with both my Venmo and PayPal accounts listed.

Because I am not a therapist, I cannot accept insurance.

For any cancellations, I ask for at least a 24-hour notice.

If you need to cancel or reschedule outside of the 24-hour window, no worries!

If you need to cancel or reschedule within the 24-hour window, no worries again! However, I will ask that you pay the full fee.

I work with adults from 21 to 121. Spirituality has no age limit and we can all benefit from intentional soul-tending and self-inquiry.

Spirituality, at its core is relational and connective in nature and through our relationships, we're often challenged to grow and expand in ways that are deep and meaningful.

I don't specifically work with couples, however, in your individual spiritual inquiry and growth process, relationships will most likely be a major focus.

I am not only an ally, but also a part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Most of my lived experience is as a cisgendered, heterosexual woman married to a man and as a mom of four. However, in my early fifties, I began to understand that I am a queer woman.

Coming out was both the most scary and most liberating process I've experienced in my life so far, and I understand how crucial it is to be surrounded by a strong, safe, nurturing and supportive network of people. 

Regardless of your lived experience and how you identify, or whether you are in the process of discovering how you identify, I hope that you feel safe, seen, heard and welcome with me.

Simply put, our sessions are conversations; you share what's on your heart and I listen.

As I listen to what you're saying, I also listen to what you're not saying and that's usually where your journey begins to take shape.

Many times, Focusing, Dreamwork or SoulCollage® will help you connect more deeply with what you're encountering and we'll bring that into your session. 

This is your journey and each session is your session. I will meet you where you are.

Often, something will arise from our time together that you would like to spend more time with before our next session.

Maybe it's reading a certain author. Maybe it's a daily contemplative or spiritual practice. Maybe it's deepening a creative practice.

Based on what comes up during your session, I may invite you to explore something more deeply before we meet again. The work you delve into between our sessions is entirely up to you and depends solely on your interests, willingness and desires. 

Depending on your interests, willingness and desires, we may incorporate Focusing, SoulCollage®, Dream Work, Reiki, Aromatherapy, journaling, art journaling, or the Labyrinth.

Some clients enjoy learning more about earth medicine (incorporating plant, mineral and animal allies into your explorations) and I am glad to companion them in that way, too.

I am a certified Spiritual Director and an active member of Spiritual Directors International. I received my training at The Haden Institute in Asheville, NC. 

I am also a Certified Focusing Professional. I received my training through The International Focusing Institute (TIFI) and was mentored by Sandy Jahmi Burg and Joanne Dahill. I'm an active member of TIFI.

There is no such thing as a license in the fields of Spiritual Direction and Focusing; I have obtained the highest level of training available and hold the highest certifications possible.

I am a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui tradition. I received my Level I attunement in 1996 and then received my Level II and Master attunements twice. In 2013, I received my Level II, Master and Teacher attunements from Patricia Dawkins Tadlock and in 2019, I received my second Level II and Master attunements from Manbo Sky Bradshaw. 

Again, there is no license or certification in Reiki; I have achieved the highest attunements possible.

I studied with Jade Shutes to become a Certified Level 1 Aromatherapist in 2019 through The School for Aromatic Studies. I am certified through the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy and am a current and active member of NAHA.

I received my SoulCollage® Facilitator Training from Catherine Anderson in 2019.

And, in 2020, I completed my studies with Catherine Anderson to become a Veriditas Trained Labyrinth Facilitator.

Yes, indeed. I love learning and what I do professionally has grown directly from interests I've explored deeply. 

It's really important to me that I acknowledge the teachers under whom I've studied. I'm grateful for all the wisdom and knowledge they've shared with me and I believe I've had some of the best teachers in the world.

And spiritual journeys don't adhere to our western concept of time.

Spiritual growth is an organic and natural process of deepening and opening and allowing.

It requires curiosity and time and space.

It cannot be forced or planned or managed.

It can only be encouraged, nurtured and witnessed.

Our spiritual growth never ends; it's a lifelong journey. Over time, you will realize the most amazing transformations in yourself.

I believe it is our birthright to discover for ourselves, our own spiritual paths. Sharing common beliefs is not a necessity, however, sharing a mutual respect and curiosity is.

It has taken my whole life for me to realize that I don't like labels. 

My roots are in Christianity and my ancestors before Christianity were pagan Celts. 

I have four Foundational Touchstones, which are the truths in which I am grounded:

• I dwell in the Oneness and the Oneness dwells in me.
• I am love and I am loved.
• I value what I know and I value who I am.
• All of creation is connected and that includes me. 

I have a deep faith and trust in Something Larger Than Me.

I have an eclectic array of spiritual practices that I turn towards to connect with my Source. Just as my body has different nutritional needs through the year, my spirit has changing needs and I lean into the particular practices that bring meaning and resonance each day . . . or, in all honesty, many days (because there are some days when I just don't).

I refer to my Creator by many names, including Source, Oneness, Love, God, Goddess and more. 

My chosen path feeds my soul and is an absolute true expression of my being. I believe that it is our birthright to discover for ourselves, our own spiritual paths.

I am a big proponent of having both a therapist and a Spiritual Director. I have both and the work I do with each is amplified by the work I do with both.

My ask is that your therapist and I both be informed.

There's certainly overlap between therapy/counseling and spiritual direction. All take place within confidential and trusted relationships and both can focus on relationships and connections.

In its most simplistic terms, therapy and counseling focus on matters of the head and heart while spiritual direction focuses on matters of the heart and soul.

There's some overlap, for sure.

With therapy and counseling, a client might focus on things such as behaviors, anxiety, depression, relationships with significant others, addictions, emotions, traumas, sexuality and more.

With spiritual direction, a client might focus on beliefs, soul-tending, relationships with Source, feeling connected to a community, sexuality, religious trauma, spiritual practices and more.

As a Spiritual Director, I'm well aware of how I can accompany you on your spiritual quest and where a healthcare professional will better suit your needs and I will always let you know if we're getting close to that line.

Yes, of course you're welcome to ask questions. 

Unlike therapy, sharing my life experiences with you is acceptable and appropriate. However, I will only do so when it feels beneficial and supportive to your growth and processes.  

While "trauma-informed" seems to be a popular buzzword these days, I acknowledge that I cannot possibly know the traumas, both little-t and big-T, that others have experienced.

Though I have participated in numerous workshops and trainings for trauma-informed care, instead of claiming to be trauma-informed, I feel more comfortable describing myself as being "trauma sensitive."
